Description

Of all the castles I visited in Scotland, this one had one of the most interesting histories of them all. It was overthrown repeatedly and eventually blown up to prevent it from becoming a Jacobite stronghold. In 2003 it was gifted to the National Trust for Scotland. As for the picture, finally had a little sun show up and just waited for that boat in the background to line up where I thought it looked rather nice.

C&C always appreciated :)

Beutiful shot. Vivid colors and nice compositon. The sailing ship in the background makes the image even more interesting. Nice work.

@Mihai: That's the second posting of mine that doesn't load for you :(. I'm hosting it from an apache http server if that helps. A security setting perhaps?
I uploaded it to a photobucket account just for you :)

Thanks for the comments metapuppet, perhaps I'll edit that guy out, or is that frowned upon? :)

Edit: Ok, now the story is I did scare that guy away

a lot of nice elements in the composition.
I would add more contrast to it

Avatar SubtleDelight

Thank you for the suggestion zanzibar, I upped the contrast a bit and really like the result a lot better :). I left the alternative link as the original so anyone interested can see the difference.
