Description

The Alps, viewed from the peak of Mount Pilatus. This image is a 4 photo panorama, adjusted in a poor attempt to look somewhat like those incredible IR shots I keep seeing around here and so desperately wish I had the equipment to do properly :). Hope ya like. C&C welcome.

Thanks

Interesting capture, needs adjustment in the contrast. There seems to be some great details in the mountains, which are being washed away. Overall nicely done.

Thanks for noting the washed out look. I was working off a tutorial to achieve this kinda IR look and not sure why it felt that blur appearance was necessary. I've altered the image now to what I should have done in the first place.

Someone else has had that problem before too....it must be because I host them from my computer, not the web. Anyway, here's a couple additional links that should work fine for the time being if you'd like to have a look.

Thanks

Beautiful place....difficult under the light conditions.....the higlights are overexposed and I would like to see more details on the shadows....maybe another time of the day.

Nice photograph... got the feeling of "Neverending Place" when I'm looking at the picture... it's like some enjoyable coldness is spreading out in your body... it is such a coldness which freezes you soul.. it's like you are standing at a beautiful tropical place but in a much colder way... difficult to explain..

the clouds are a bit overexposed like already said, but for me the shadows are perfect...

one more thing. I've noticed the nice shadows on the left mountain... It's just my opinion, but it would have been nice if you would have tried somehow (if it would be possible) to focus onto this part...

but all in all it's nice :)

Nice work Subtle! Your shadows are a bit underexposed, but I really like this image too! Keep it up! Did you finally get your own IR equipment?

I really like this panoramic picture, only thing is a tiny bit too contrasted. Good shot!

Great landscape - but I find the pseudo IR effect less pleasing. I just feel this would have benefited from a straight exposure - the view and composition don't need any additional gimmikery to support it. It's an excellent image and would be powerful and dramatic enough without it.
